As we told you last week, thanks to your calls and emails and the hard work of Rep. Jered Taylor, H.B. 85 (the Second Amendment Preservation Act) passed the House of Representatives.
This is a major achievement for gun owners, as the Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA) will completely nullify Joe Biden’s war on gun owners by requiring Missouri’s peace officers to only enforce Missouri laws regarding firearms and ammunition!
In other words, a federal AR-15 ban would fall flat on its face here in Missouri.
So would a national gun registry, a ban on magazines that hold over ten rounds of ammo, mental health tests for gun owners, and anything else that the radical left tries to pass into law in D.C.!
This is how we hold the line against federal gun control and safeguard our freedoms here in Missouri for the next generation! But it’s not going to happen if the Senate doesn’t pass H.B. 85.
That’s why it’s urgent that you send the PRE-WRITTEN EMAIL that we have prepared for you to right away, telling your State Senator to publicly champion and vote for SAPA legislation!
The truth is that anti-gun moderates are already talking about teaming up with radical leftists in the State Senate to tank this legislation!
This wouldn’t be the first time.
In fact, these moderates have blocked every single gun bill in Jeff City since the fall of 2016 meaning that Missouri hasn’t passed a gun bill since Obama was in the White House!
And with NYC’s Michael Bloomberg trying to shut us down, it’s critical that your State Senator hears from you immediately.
Your grassroots pressure will remind the politicians in Jeff City that gun owners want to see action on this legislation right away, and that we will hold them responsible if they block this legislation.
And this isn’t an idle threat.
Former State Representative Kathy Swan thought she could work against gun rights behind the scenes, until MOFC members ended her career during the 2020 primaries.
Former State Representative Jack Bondon thought he could ignore gun owners during his time in the House, until MOFC members ended his career during the 2020 primaries.
Senate hopeful David Cole thought that he could buy his way in the Missouri Senate last year, despite his support for gun control legislation, until MOFC members ended his career during the 2020 primaries.
