Late last week, the Senate Transportation and Public Safety Committee had a hearing on both bills that the Missouri Firearms Coalition is pushing in Jeff City this session. Senate Bill 633 would eliminate the deadly ‘Gun Free Zones’ that force law abiding gun owners to disarm themselves in 17 different locations throughout the state!
Senate Bill 588 would nullify federal gun control here in Missouri, by enacting the Second Amendment Preservation Act, requiring that Missouri peace officers only enforce Missouri laws where our gun rights are concerned.
A big shout out to the MOFC members who were able to attend and testify in favor of these bills, doing so on their own dime, unlike the Bloomberg supporters who often are bussed
in from St. Louis or KC.
If you were not able to make it to the hearing that’s ok, as MOFC’s Policy Advisor Aaron Dorr was on hand to testify for MOFC members who could not make it to the hearing.

These bills are common sense, and they should sail through the legislature. But as MOFC members know, moderates in the Capitol are determined to hold these bills back.
That’s why I hope that you’ll take a moment and contact the members of the Transportation and Public Safety Committee right away, and urge them to move both S.B. 633 and S.B. 588 out of their committee as soon as possible!

“Senator XXXX, as a gun owner in Missouri, I am calling to urge you to pass SB 633 and SB 588 through the Transportation and Public Safety Committee as soon as possible. Both of these bills would make Missouri safer, while sending a message to gun grabbers that this is a pro- gun state! Please advance these bills right away!”
Please take action right away, as the legislative calendar is moving quickly. Call the lawmakers listed above, and encourage your friends and family to make some calls, too.
