By now you’ve likely seen the headlines.
But in case you didn’t, you need to know that Speaker of the House Elijah Haahr has all but promised to advance some form of gun control next session, giving Bloomberg’s forces in Jeff City exactly what they want!
Haahr announced this at the very end of last week’s special session in a press conference, as he faced questions from liberal reporters, angry that gun control didn’t advance during the special session.
That’s why I hope you’ll sign the petition that we’ve prepared for you, telling your state lawmakers that you expect them to oppose EVERY form of gun control in 2020!

To be honest, I’ve been expecting this for some time.
You see, as Speaker of the House last session, Elijah Haahr killed every single pro-gun bill that gun owners filed, refusing to even let them come up for a floor vote!
And every time that happens, it’s a sign that legislative leaders have wimped out, and are about to cut a deal with gun-grabbers at our expense!

Speaker Haahr could have stood up for gun owners and told the liberal left that gun control doesn’t stop crime, and that all gun control bills would be squashed as long as he is in charge.
But he didn’t.
Speaker Haahr could have said that eliminating ‘Gun Free Zones’ is the best thing that Missouri can do to stop violent criminals, and that he will fast track that legislation in 2020.
But he didn’t say that, either.
Speaker Haahr could have reminded reporters and anti-gun lawmakers that if they want to see the horror of gun control on a population, they only need to look across the river into Illinois to see how it’s playing out in Chicago.
But for some reason, he didn’t say that either!
When gun owners needed him to step up to the plate and fight for us, Speaker Haahr instead caved under the pressure and promised some version of gun control next session!
What legislation is Speaker Haahr planning on pushing next session?
We don’t know, as Haahr refuses to comment.
But multiple insiders have told me that they are very concerned that Haahr may make a major push for ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation, as more and more Republicans are pushing this bill in other states.
Others are concerned that Speaker Haahr may actually cave into the demands of St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson, and overturn Missouri’s pre-emption law, allowing cities to enact their gun control laws.
If that happens, you can kiss your AR-15 and most magazines goodbye, as St. Louis, KC, and other cities would rush to make them illegal.
While we don’t know yet what the legislation is going to look like, we do know that it’s outrageous that we are having to talk about any form of gun control in Missouri!
