Apparently Michael Bloomberg can’t take the hint that his NYC gun control is not wanted here in Missouri.
Still sore over the political shellacking they received from the Missouri Firearms Coalition last year when we passed Constitutional Carry legislation, Bloomberg-funded ‘Moms Demand Action’ has now resorted to lies and fear mongering.
You see, Bloomberg’s groups are trying to claim that St Louis’s violent crime rate spiked 22% since we enacted Constitutional Carry legislation in late 2016.
But the truth is far different, as you’ll see below.
Before I get to that, understand what is going on here.
Bloomberg’s cronies are desperately trying to stop us from repealing the dozens of ‘Gun Free Zones’ that plague Missouri.
It’s these areas that are the primary targets for murderers, rapists, armed robbers and more because they know the chances of meeting armed opposition in ‘Gun Free Zones’ is almost zero.
And while our bill to repeal these areas was defeated in 2017, we cleared three House committees and are building momentum as we head into the 2018 session!
It’s this momentum that they are desperate to stop. If that means inventing numbers, they are fine with doing that.

The truth is that, if anything, St. Louis’s murder rate slowed down after Constitutional Carry came into law last year.
Look at these numbers.
In 2014, St. Louis had 159 murders.
In 2015, a year before Constitutional Carry became law, St. Louis saw an 18.2% increase in their homicide rate to a jaw-dropping 188!
That’s right, an 18.2% increase before Constitutional Carry was even introduced during the 2016 session.
Last year, St. Louis saw the identical number of homicides with 188 — no upswing at all.
If anything, these numbers were a surprise to city officials who were bracing for as many as 200 murders earlier in the year.
The number inexplicably calmed down in the latter half of last year, right around the time that Constitutional Carry became law!
Was Constitutional Carry the determining factor in this retraction? It’s too soon to tell.
One thing is certain, any gun-control group claiming that murder rates rose in St. Louis 22% because of Constitutional Carry is pushing a complete lie!
So when you talk to your legislators about advancing Second Amendment freedom next session, don’t let them get away with rolling out these bogus numbers!
Remind them that the murder rate in St. Louis was at a modern era peak in 2015 –- the year before Missouri even enacted Constitutional Carry.
Then remind them that gun owners in Missouri are organized and are expecting the legislature to deal with the problem of ‘Gun Free Zones’ next session, before they adjourn and expect gun owners to put them back into office!
