On behalf of all of us here at the Missouri Firearms Coalition, I want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

As you spend time with your loved ones this weekend, I hope that you’ll recommit yourself to the fight for the Second Amendment as the legislative session is about to resume in Jeff City.

After all, isn’t that why we do all of this in the first place, to safeguard the Second Amendment for those future generations who are counting on us?

Here in Missouri we’ve made a lot of progress in our fight to advance Second Amendment freedom, but we can’t back off — not even for a moment.

Next session our battle to end deadly ‘Gun Free Zones’ will resume in earnest. This session, our bill cleared three House committees before being stopped by House leadership.

But next year we will have a better chance, as it’s an election year — meaning the legislature will be looking to pass a gun bill before heading home and courting votes from gun owners.

And having already passed Constitutional Carry and Stand-Your-Ground law, repealing these deadly ‘Gun Free Zones’ is the next step for Second Amendment freedom here in Missouri.

After all, we all know that making law abiding citizens helpless only makes them attractive targets to violent criminals looking for their next victim.

So please get ready for a fight — we need all hands on deck!

Our gun rights are only safe as long as there are grassroots Missourians who are willing to stand and fight for them. I want to thank you for being a part of this fight!
