Major Court Action on Missouri’s SAPA Law!

Two days ago, the Missouri State Supreme Court handed down a ruling on the DOJ’s attempt to overturn our Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA) before it spreads across the country.

The Supreme Court denied the Biden Administration’s request to reverse Missouri’s SAPA law, instead ordering the Cole County Circuit Court to rule on the Constitutionality of SAPA.

The Supreme Court effectively said that before they would rule on the constitutionality of SAPA law, a lower court had to render a decision first, as the Supreme Court is a court of appeal.

And while we’re thrilled that the Court didn’t agree to overturn SAPA law, this does mean that we’ll need to argue our case again sometime later this year.

To be able to do that, we’re going to need help from MOFC members like you. But before you consider a donation, you should also know that we’ve just learned that the Federal Court case the DOJ is bringing against SAPA will be heard on June 22 in Kansas City.

To be clear, these are two separate cases.

The State Supreme Court case originally filed by St. Louis and Jackson County was struck down by a Cole County Circuit Court judge last fall and has now been sent back to that court for a more thorough opinion.

But Joe Biden and Merrick Garland, knowing they will probably lose that case, have ordered the DOJ to file a separate lawsuit in Federal Court, hoping to bypass the Missouri courts entirely.

And the Missouri Firearms Coalition’s legal team is currently fighting back in both courts — at the same time — to stop the Biden Administration from destroying SAPA law!

But as you can imagine, fighting to protect SAPA against the DOJ in two courts simultaneously is expensive. That’s why I am counting on your continued support as we lay it all on the line to defeat Biden’s attack!

Biden isn’t going to stop until a Federal Court judge upholds SAPA, he can’t. He’s just issued ANOTHER Executive Order mandating that serial numbers be placed on all upper receivers! Violating this would be another felony for gun owners.

This is on top of his other Executive Orders that regulate 80% lower receivers (home made firearms) and the extremely popular pistol braces — all of which would be made illegal.

But to be clear, Biden can’t enforce this tyrannical garbage on his own. He just doesn’t have the manpower. He’s counting on local tyrants (think St. Louis, Kansas City, Columbia) to order their police departments to enforce these orders for him!

Here in Missouri, that CAN NOT happen because SAPA law prevents it by requiring Missouri cops to enforce Missouri gun laws, ignoring federal gun control laws and Executive Orders.

That’s why Biden’s handlers hate SAPA. That’s why they are determined to get it struck down in court. Because they know that their gun control agenda is DOA as long as SAPA is standing!

And if SAPA survives here in Missouri, it will spread like wildfire across the country. And if Biden’s team thinks that it’s tough to deal with SAPA in Missouri, it would be their worst nightmare if four or five more states passed it next year!

That’s why I hope that you’ll go ‘all in’ and help us defeat these tyrants in court with a very generous gift of $100, $150 or even $250!

I know that’s a lot, especially with soaring fuel prices and Joe Biden’s inflation out of control. But as you just read, everything is on the line…and we need to be able to fight in two courts now.

So if $150 or $100 is not possible, I hope you’ll consider $75, $50 or at least $25 so that our lawyers can get to work.

I am proud that Missouri is on the FRONT LINE in the fight for freedom and that we passed the nation’s best Second Amendment Preservation Act! Now I hope that you’ll help us defend it!

P.S. The Missouri Supreme Court just ruled that before they can consider the Second Amendment Preservation Act, the Cole Court Circuit Court needs to rule on SAPA’s constitutionality.

And we’ve also just learned the oral arguments in Federal Court will be taking place in late June — meaning that MOFC needs to fight in two courts at the same time to save SAPA!
