As you may remember, the Senate Transportation and Public Safety Committee heard our two gun bills last week. The first was S.B. 588, known as the Second Amendment Preservation Act, which would nullify future federal gun control laws that violate the Second Amendment and require that Missouri peace officers only enforce Missouri’s gun laws. The second was S.B. 663, legislation that would rid Missouri of all 17 ‘Gun Free Zones’ that state code currently mandates, giving gun owners a fighting chance against an armed madman looking for a body count. You can see MOFC’s testimony in support of these bills here and here. During the hearing, anti-gun members of the committee spoke out against the bills.Bloomberg’s funded stooges did the same thing. So did a variety of college police department heads. You see, they all want to maintain the current system, where you and I are disarmed and helpless in the face of a murderous psychopath, because that’s their goal, to make all of us 100% dependent on the government. But as silly as their arguments all were, that doesn’t mean that we can sit back and assume the committee will do the right thing and advance these bills on their own. The fight against your gun rights is raging in Jeff City, and that is why I need every gun owner in the state to take action, so that these bills can be voted on in the Senate right away. Make no mistake, Missouri is a top target from gun grabbers at the federal level, who can’t wait to strip us of our Constitutional Carry and Stand-Your-Ground laws.
