The 2025 legislative session is over… but the gun control crowd is already preparing for a full-on fight in 2026.
It’s no surprise.
Our GOP Supermajorities in Jeff City killed every pro-gun bill in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 because they are weak. And the Democrats smell it, and they’re ready to pounce.
They know they can’t flat out ban AR-15s.
But they think that they can find support for HB-104, a so-called “Safe Storage” bill that would force gun owners to lock up our guns virtually 24 hours a day or face criminal charges!

This threat IS coming back next year.
HB-104 is one of the most dangerous gun control bills we’ve seen in years. It would:
▶️ Force you to lock up ALL firearms unless they’re in a holster and physically carried by you — even inside your own home!
▶️ Slap you with criminal charges if your 17-year old son or daughter uses a firearm to stop a home invasion!
▶️ Fine you $500 for a first offense — and hit you with a Class B misdemeanor on your second! Jail time!
▶️ Force gun stores to post warning signs and print gun storage laws in materials and signage — even on their websites.
▶️ Mandate the Dept. of Public Safety to push “gun storage awareness” to gun dealers, shooting ranges, and even doctors!
This isn’t about safety. This is about treating Missouri gun owners like criminals.

HB-104 is going to get innocent Missourians r@ped, robbed, and murdered because violent predators will have the upper hand.
And again, the GOP is facilitating this by four years of no progress, four years of total failure, in advancing the Second Amendment!
And some Republicans in the House are already talking about doing just that — thinking a “reasonable” compromise might help them in the 2026 elections.
They’re dead wrong.
