We’re battling hard for the Second Amendment Preservation Act in Jefferson City. But that’s not all. We’re pushing multiple pro-gun bills to protect your rights.

Last night, the House General Laws Committee heard another one of our bills, HB-726. This bill is sponsored by Rep. Lisa Durnell, and it strengthens Missouri’s preemption law.

Missouri law (21.750) is clear: only the legislature regulates firearms. Yet, Jackson County passed an ordinance saying it’s illegal to carry a handgun unless you’re 21.

Just as bad, their ordinance makes it a crime to buy a rifle or shotgun unless you’re 21.

The County Executive told them not to, told them it was illegal, but they did it anyway. In fact, they even overrode the County Executive’s veto!

Our bill, HB-726, fights back. It imposes $50,000 penalties on counties violating preemption. This empowers you to hold liberal counties accountable.
