The only way to protect gun owners for the long haul is to secure as much freedom as possible while we still can.
That’s why we need the Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA).
SAPA is very simple: it tells the next commie in the White House (think AOC or Gavin Newsom) that Missouri cops enforce Missouri laws, not federal gun control.
- If the feds want to try to grab AR-15s or 30-round mags, they’ll have to use their own manpower.
- If a city like STL and KC violates SAPA and helps enforce federal gun control, gun owners can take them to civil court for damages. These are real ‘teeth.’
- SAPA shields pro-gun cops from being forced by liberal chiefs to enforce unconstitutional orders.
- SAPA is constitutional, it’s backed by Supreme Court precedent, and it will protect both gun owners and law enforcement.
Last session the Missouri House passed SAPA with a strong 100–49 vote. But in the Senate, Democrats launched a filibuster and tried to amend SAPA with gun control poison pills, like banning all handgun ownership under 18.
The question now is whether the Missouri Senate will finish this fight, or not. They have the votes…do they have the will?
