The pre-filing window just opened in Jeff City, and the gun control bills have been pouring in non-stop!

Democrats have been building up to this for a long time.

They know that Republicans haven’t passed a single pro-gun bill in almost five years. They see the weakness. And now they’re pouncing.

In just the first few days of pre-filing, we’ve already seen:

• A total repeal of Constitutional Carry (HB-2131); after nearly a decade of Missouri leading the nation on gun rights, the Democrats want to drag us all the way back to a government-issued permission slip.
• A total repeal of Missouri’s pre-emption law (HB-2064);this would allow St. Louis, Kansas City, Columbia, and every other left-wing municipality to pass their own gun bans, registries, and carry restrictions.
• A total ban on private ammunition sales (HB-1956); no more selling a box of ammo to a friend, neighbor, or coworker. Every round would require government approval.
• A ban on magazines holding over 10 rounds (HB-1823); the Democrats want to criminalize standard-capacity magazines that millions of Americans use for self-defense.
• A ban on AR-15s and similar rifles (SB-1176); this is the crown jewel of the Left’s agenda: outlawing the most popular rifle in America.
• A ban on minors possessing handguns (SB-868); this bill would turn countless law-abiding Missouri families into criminals overnight.

And these are six of DOZENS of gun control bills coming at us for 2026.

The Democrats are emboldened. The GOP is too terrified to fight. And with so many gun owners disengaged now that the presidential election is behind us, the threat is greater than ever.
