Major news! The Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA), or HB-1175, hits the Senate Transportation and Public Safety Committee this Monday.
As you may remember, a strong version of SAPA cleared the House two weeks ago with a strong 100-49 vote, no harmful amendments were added.
Now it’s critical that SAPA pass through the Senate Committee without being watered down with bad amendments!
MOFC’s team has been in Jeff City all week, meeting with Senate Leaders and most of the members of the Senate committee. Now it’s critical that you make your voice heard.
Please send this pre-written email to your State Senator, insisting that he/she oppose any amendments to gut/kill SAPA.

SAPA protects gun owners by instructing Missouri cops to enforce Missouri gun laws, blocking the next Democrat President from using our police to enforce federal gun control.
But it’s not just for us.
SAPA also safeguards Missouri cops.
Without it, they’d have to make a choice when ordered to enforce federal gun control: follow the order and violate their oath or refuse and risk their jobs.
Trouble is brewing, though. Gun control lobbyists are pushing amendments to gut SAPA. We’ve been dealing with these amendments all week. Some of these amendments include:
>>> Removing civil penalties, leaving us powerless to hold St. Louis or Kansas City accountable if they violate SAPA.
>>> Allowing the Feds to use Missouri cops for federal gun control if paid as part of an ATF taskforce—defeating SAPA’s purpose.
>>> Forcing gun owners to pay the government’s legal fees if we lose a SAPA lawsuit, discouraging us from fighting back.
>>> Eliminating our right to file civil suits in Cole County, forcing cases into liberal courts like St. Louis or Kansas City where we’d lose.
>>> Creating massive carveouts that let liberal departments enforce federal gun laws under ‘reasonable suspicion’ for any ‘crime’ -– including traffic offenses!
If these amendments pass, SAPA is toast.
>>> DON’T LET THEM GUT SAPA! <<<
A weakened SAPA passing also kills Attorney General Bailey’s Supreme Court defense of the original version of SAPA that was passed in 2021.
We can’t let that happen.
Our rights and Missouri’s independence are at stake.
Your voice can tip the scales.
Missouri stands for freedom and the Second Amendment — let’s keep it that way.
