Missouri RINOs have not passed a pro-gun bill in close to five years now, and in that vacuum a new organization has been filed to kill the Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA) once and for all.
The Missouri Sheriffs’ Constitutional Firearms Alliance sounds great, but in reality, they exist to push a phony version of SAPA that will give zero protection to gun owners.
While claiming to be SAPA, here’s what their bill (SB-955) actually does:
1. Removes the civil penalties from SAPA completely
2. Trusts the STL and KC police departments to investigate themselves
3. Allows the feds to use Missouri cops in federal gun seizure taskforces
4. Denies protection for Missourians who ‘may be a danger to themselves’
5. Intentionally leaves the list of federal gun control MO cops can’t enforce vague
And this is just the beginning; there are almost a dozen choke points and ambushes intentionally placed in this bill.
While this bill was filed in the Senate, we expect a companion bill to be filed in the House very soon! Take action fast, or the politicians will jump on this bill as a way to protect their careers – at the expense of our gun rights.
