House Joint Resolution 158 (HJR-158) has been filed by leaders in the House Democratic Caucus to completely repeal the Second Amendment protections found in Article 1, Section 23 of the Missouri Constitution.
This is far worse than any one particular gun control bill. If enacted, HJR-158 would:
>>> Allow every city and county in Missouri to pass local laws to ban the possession, carrying, and transfer of firearms. This would end gun rights in every ‘blue’ city and county.
>>> Allow liberal judges in our state to systemically overturn our existing gun rights one Bloomberg/Soros funded lawsuit at a time.
Five years after this is implemented, Missouri would very likely have an AR-15 and 30-round magazine ban in place by court precedent, as well as deadly firearm storage laws, a repeal of Constitutional Carry, and forced ammo registration!
