While there is still an off-chance that the US Supreme Court may intervene, it seems increasingly likely that Joe Biden will be in the White House next year.
And if that happens, a massive amount of gun control legislation and executive orders will be on the table.
Gun taxes, a ban on our AR-15’s, a national gun owner registry, mag bans, national ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ law — everything will be on the table!
How much can he get passed?
That remains to be seen, as both Georgia Senate races are headed to a January 5th run-off and the results of those races will determine who controls the Senate for the next two years.
Of course, Nancy Pelosi is still the Speaker of the House, but she is running the smallest majority that the House has had in over 100 years!
Bottom line: if gun owners stand together and hold the line, we may be able to defeat Biden’s legislative agenda.
But we can’t count on that. So we need to do everything we can to protect our freedoms here in Missouri once the legislature gavels back into session in Jeff City.
And that is why our top priority for the 2021 legislative session will be passage of the Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA,) which would nullify all federal gun control laws!

SAPA legislation would nullify federal gun control by acknowledging that the Missouri constitution charges the Missouri legislature with passing laws for our state, and specifying that only gun laws passed by the state of Missouri are to be enforced here.
Specifically, the bill would require Missouri’s peace officers to ONLY enforce gun laws that are on the books here in Missouri!
This isn’t a pipe dream.
This concept of state supremacy over federal tyranny has been adjudicated many times in the U.S. Supreme Court and they have found — every time — that state authority supersedes federal law in situations like this.
But what happens if St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson ignores SAPA law and orders the St. Louis PD to start enforcing draconian gun control laws (presuming that Joe Biden can pass them) anyway?
SAPA legislation addresses that issue, too, by allowing individual gun owners to take any government officials who violate SAPA law to civil court for damages that they incurred.
And the law would specifically remove qualified immunity for government officials who flagrantly break SAPA law and enforce federal gun control laws — meaning you can take them to court!
The bill also provides important whistle blower protections for peace officers who sound the alarm about violations of this SAPA law.
Simply put: this is the best SAPA language in the nation right now, which is why it’s being copied by other state legislatures around the country!

As you may remember, during the 2020 legislative session we had almost 90 cosponsors on this bill in the House and had already had several committee hearings on it in the Senate.
Senator Doug Libla and Representative Dean Plocher were already working to kill this bill in their respective committees, and then when the legislature all but shut down in response to Covid-19, they used that to cover their actions.
So gun owners are going to have to push harder than ever to pass this bill through the legislature and put this on Governor Parsons’s desk.
Don’t forget, the moderates in charge in Jeff City blocked every single gun bill in 2017, 2018, 2019, and now 2020! So we can’t assume that they will pass this bill now, even under a Biden administration, without being pushed hard!
